Hey Aztecs! This forum is for people who have been accepted to SDSU and want to discuss further about the school, housing, and meeting people. Start by introducing yourself:
Name: Stacy
M/F: F
Age: (if you want to) (26)
Major: Pre-Film and Television Production
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Community College Attended: Coastline CC
Is SDSU 1st Choice?: Yes, but I’m not 100% sure on attendance just yet. It’s going to come down to cost of attendance between SDSU, CSUF, UCD, and UCSD.
I live 30 minutes from CSUF so I wouldnt have to worry about housing costs like the other schools, so that is my dilema. Plus UC’s cover tution for low income students so Im waiting to hear from them. However, SDSU’s program seems better.
About Me: I’m a really goofy person! I love telling jokes and I’m fluent in sarcasm. I really want to work in the film industry, in any field of it really. I also have a few associates in other majors as backups just in case it takes a little longer than expected to get a job in my desired field. I love video games and playing board games! I have three cats and a dog!

SDSU was my first choice These past few months have been so nerve-racking waiting to find out, I could not be any more excited! Does anyone know if there’s a Facebook group already for Fall 2017 transfers or class of '19 students?
Congrats everyone!!
Edit: Sorry for posting again! I think my original reply post was lost from this thread.
I think moderators moved all of our posts back to the other thread. Which is dumb because this is a different topic than the decisions thread. I didnt want to blow up that thread with idle conversation so people still waiting for decisions didnt have to filter theough my idle chatter. Oh well!
@filmfiend91 Oh okay I didn’t even notice that! Thanks for clarifying…maybe someone can create a Facebook group or something for Fall admitted transfers and we could discuss further topics there.

SDSU is my top CSU choice; however, I have other factors to consider such as cost and moving into the area. I also applied to CSULB (Accepted), CSUSB (Accepted), UCI (Accepted via TAG). Still waiting to hear back from UCSD, UCB, UCD, and UCR. I live about an hour and 10 minutes away from the campus and I would love to look for roommates who are also transfer students.
I love meeting new people! So feel free to add me on here. I would love to get to know all of you. I played softball for 16 years and also played in college, so I was fortuante enough to meet and befriend many people in my life. I love to read and watch netflix, but I also love to go out, have fun, and explore the city. My brother actually attends UCSD, so I’m quite familiar with the La Jolla area of San Diego. I am also a huge dog person, and I love cats, but sadly I am allergic to cats! I plan on going to graduate school and also minoring in business management as an undergraduate. I would love to work in human resource management or as a business consultant

I was hoping to get insight on the whole pre major thing. I’ve only been accepted to SDSU so right now it’s my one and only choice, but if Im not guaranteed my choice major I’d rather not attend SDSU since I’m really passionate about my major and id hate to miss an opportunity elsewhere if dont get Computer Engineering. Im waiting to hear back from CSUF, CPP, UCLA, UCI, UCSB, UCSD, got rejected from CSULB but appealed thier decision.

@Transfer2017 Hey Stephanie, don’t worry about the pre major title. Since the major/school is impacted, the only way they can add us to a full roster is as a pre-major meaning you are in major preparation mode. After our official transcripts are received to prove what we claimed on the apps, and possibly after completing other minor new student requirements, they automatically transfer you to the major from “pre-major”. We were all accepted as pre-majors, and unless we messed up on our supplemental app, we should all be good to go.
@DanielleRW - I’m currently at Saddleback trying to transfer to SDSU for Foods and Nutrition. I was just wondering what your GPA was and how you completed classes like Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry at Saddleback since ones that articulate into SDSU are not available there?! Please let me know!!!
@foodiejazzy Hey I’m so sorry I just saw your post now!! My reported GPA was 3.3, and I did not complete either of those courses because like you mentioned they weren’t offered at Saddleback (or they did not agree with SDSU’s version of the course). I was told by my counselor at Saddleback that there was nothing I could do, unless I wanted to take those classes at another community college where they did coincide with SDSU’s transfer agreement. However, in the end it didn’t affect my admission - so I wouldn’t worry too much! I think SDSU realizes that some of the courses are not offered.
Hey guys i have a question, so i got admitted to sdsu for business management. But this semester i had to drop a humanities class and i reported i was going to take that class. Will they decline my admission? Because that is a general ed class. Which also means because of thay class i wont get my adt but i do not think i applied with an adt.
Hi guys. I’m planning to transfer to SDSU for fall 17 from de Anza college. I was wondering if you guys had any advice, tips or things you like about SDSU. It dream school. And I really want to attend. I have 3.7 GPA and my major is Graphic Design
@DanielleRW Hi! I have the exact same situation as you- wanting to transfer to SDSU from Saddleback College for Foods and Nutrition! Did you complete all of the courses listed on SDSU’s TAP website? So many of them aren’t offered anywhere near us so I just want to see if it is possible to get in without completing those!
@DanielleRW oops please ignore my repeated question I only read that you replied to me after I posted it (I’m new to this site)! But thank you so much for your response. That relieves so much stress and gives me hope! So pretty much everything that wasn’t offered at Saddleback you didn’t take? Did you take any of the nutrition courses online through the San Diego Community colleges? Sorry for all the questions!
