SDSU FALL 2019 Transfers

Good job on raising your GPA! It’s tough but hopefully your higher gpa gets you in.

This supplemental app is easier than I thought it was going to be. I also feel that this transfer thread is not as active compared to others but that could be a good thing.

@IsntThatSpatial if you use AP credits to complete any GE and/or other pre-reqs you need to send in official scores and also report them on your application.

SDSU has TAG for specific majors only.

CSU transferable GPA

Major: Art Education
GPA: 3.47
AA: Yes, in Art
Lower Div. Prep: Missing (1) that has no articulation in my school.
Golden 4: BBBB
Local: No (Coastline CC)

It’s so weird I haven’t gotten an email abouta supplemental application, the button is not even showing up on the portal. It’s also kinda weird that they are asking for my transcript from the college I attended in the Philippines, when it said on CSU Apply that they do not require Foreign Transcripts.

The Major Prep part of the application is checking off which courses match according to ASSIST.org, right? Like, we obviously can’t take SDSU courses yet.

Just completed my supplemental app, it was way easier than I thought. Good Luck everyone!

The app automatically submits right? I don’t have to hit a button?
I’ve gotten two reminder emails to fill it out and it makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong ?

I got the reminder emails too. It is an auto submit. I wouldn’t be worried about it as long as your double and triple checking to make sure everything is correct.

don’t forget to print yourself a copy

Good idea to print a copy.

Hey, has anyone heard back from any other schools that they applied to yet? I don’t know about you guys but this wait for acceptances is killing me! I just wanna know where I’m going already ?

@IsntThatSpatial my daughter has heard back with acceptances to Sac State and Humboldt State. She applied to SDSU as a Sustainability major. Sociology everywhere else. Waiting on Chico, Long Beach, Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, UCSD, Berkeley, Davis, Santa Cruz.
4.0 GPA and all prereqs completed for all schools as well as IGETC. She feels SDSU a long shot due to such s popular campus and living in NorCal so not a local area transfer. Good luck to everyone here?

@sugarcane1 Thanks for the reply.

Your daughter has excellent opportunities and choices ahead. Good luck to her.

@90smix Welcome! Are you local or non local? Good luck!

@benhyrules Congrats! I’d for sure go to U of Hawaii if I were you. Wouldn’t even second think that but good luck to you for SDSU.

@IsntThatSpatial Thank you  I’m from the Bay Area.

Cool cool. Any other schools you have applied? You got an excellent gpa so you got a great chance for SDSU.

I know the Nursing majors get decisions in mid to late March, but is that the case for every major? Does anyone know about that?

From SDSU today:

“San Diego State University has set a new record for the number of students seeking admission to the school with 94,142 undergraduate applications received for fall 2019. This topples last year’s record-breaking total of more than 93,600.

While the application period typically ends in November, this year the application period was extended to Dec. 15 due to the wildfires that tore across the state last fall. Prospective students can expect to be notified of their admission status in March.

This year’s record-breaking number includes more than 69,360 first-time freshman and more than 24,500 new transfer students.”

Good luck guys!

Anyone knows when are transfer applicants expected to hear a decision?
