I just got rejected, I applied as a pre-philosophy major at SDSU. I think it was because I was missing the class that they required me to take (my cc doesn’t offer the class, nor does any cc around me). However, I took all of the other recommended classes. Although, I might just end up waitlisting.
Congrats to everyone else who got in!!

Hey everyone,
Mechanical engineering transfer student here. Unfortunately didn’t get accepted to SDSU for Fall 2020 (found out a month ago, just made this account today). My GPA isn’t too high at a 3.3 but I would argue that I have pretty good experiences to back me up. I am NOT local to SD and found out that they were accepting <3.0 GPA students mostly due to the fact that they’re locals. I sent in my appeal a while ago and am still waiting.
May I ask all the engineering majors that got accepted. What was your GPA upon acceptance and are you local?
Hey guys, I got accepted to SDSU back in early March and I was told that I could accept my offer of admission without the initial deposit fee. Does anyone know what happens if I decided to go somewhere else and if I am required to pay the fees? here are some of my stats.
Late to this thread but checking it made me feel better so I’ll contribute in return
DENIED 3/27
Major: Communications
GPA: 3.75
Golden 4: Completed (AAAC)
Pre-reqs completed: By this semester
ADT: Yes
Local: No, Orange County Area
Hello all, I was admitted on 3/23 for pre philosophy and I want to know how can we waive the $400 intent to enroll? I think $400 is hella expensive especially in these times. Why is SDSU so expensive with their intent and other colleges ask for like $150 at most.
Just to give someone hope, I did not complete my math or science GE for transferr but I was still admitted. I am Philosophy major and was admitted as pre Philosophy. I do however get straight As in all my Philosophy classes. So I think that its very very important to do very well in your field of study to be admitted if you don’t finish the GE
Hi there I am a fellow Philosophy person, sorry you didn’t get in but you got into some great schools anyways. I was admitted pre philosophy, but I have not finished my GE for math or science. I’m confused how I was admitted and all I can think of is because I get As in all my Philosophy classes.
Hey guys! As mentioned earlier I wasn’t accepted to SDSU. I did an appeal in March and I just got approved for admission!!! Can’t wait, good luck to any who are in the same boat
Major: Urban Planning/Studies
GPA: 2.76
Golden Four: yes
ADT: no
TAP: no
Local: Nope, Las Vegas, NV
Expected to finish my pre-reqs and my 60 credits by the end of Spring 2020
Hi everyone, I just wanted to give an update for future reference. My stats are listed above.
I was rejected but offered to waitlist and I opted for the waitlist. As of today, 6/19, I received an email that I was selected for admission off of the waitlist. I was also missing one of the required classes (symbolic logic) for my major (philosophy). However, I will be attending UCSB in the fall. I wish everyone the best of luck and congrats!
Accepted: Sac State, Long Beach State, SJSU (w honors), SDSU, Cal Poly SLO, UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, UC Davis, & UC Santa Barbara
