SDSU Fowler School of Business

I am currently a high school student in SoCal that plans to major in management once I get into college. As I was researching the different business majors SDSU has to offer, I saw that the management major has specialties in Human Resources and entrepreneurship. Can someone give me some background information on these two specialties?

I have a few questions regarding SDSU:

  1. How do I get into SDSU?
  2. What does SDSU look in an applicant?
  3. What reputation does the Fowler School of Business have?

Any information provided about SDSU as well as their business school would be very helpful. Thank you!

SDSU admissions are stats based meaning your CSU GPA and SAT and/or ACT scores.

You need to calculate your CSU GPA at the end of Junior year. You get up to 8 semester of extra honors points towards the GPA for classes that are UC approved Honors (CA HS students)/AP/IB or DE courses taken during 10-11th grades. You need to meet at least the minimum a-g course requirements to apply.

Once you have your CSU GPA and test scores, you can calculate your eligibility index (EI).

EI= (CSU GPA x800)+ (SAT Math+CR) or (CSU GPA x800) + (ACT composite x10).

You are ranked by EI and major and then applicants are accepted from the highest EI down until all spots are filled.

A competitive EI for SDSU is 4100+ SAT or 1000+ ACT. If you are local SD HS student, then you have local priority and the EI thresholds can be lower.

The College of Business Administration has been ranked in the most recent U.S. News & World Report survey as one of the top ten best business schools in California and among the 50 best public business schools in the United States.

SDSU has an excellent reputation for the Business undergrad program but cannot elaborate any further on the specialities mentioned.
