SDSU or Cal poly SLO for business?

Hello, SDSU and SLO recently accepted me, but I don’t know which one is a better business school for management/administration. I know cal poly is a more prestigious school overall. Some websites say SDSU is better for business then few others say Cal Poly. Which one should I choose?

I think both are about the same in terms of marketability for jobs. See which one fits your needs and goals better.

Agree with @UCBUSCalum; Compare the major courses for each school and see which school fits you best academically/socially and financially.

SLO seems like their track record for placing graduates into the workplace and “Learn by Doing” philosophy would give them the advantage. The companies they bring into job fairs is amazing but I am sure SDSU has many good ones that come to their fairs. Where do you live?

If your goal is to live and work in San Diego after graduation, then I think SDSU will probably serve you better.

Other than that, you can’t go wrong with Cal Poly.

There may be a semester vs. quarter issue to consider if that matter to you.

Congrats! Either will be a great learning experience and open lots of career doors for you. I am curious, what are your stats/work experience?

SLO also has an accelerated program that could put you back in the workforce quickly and save you a chunk of change on tuition/living expenses. It is worth a look.

I hear about how great SLO is a lot. I don’t hear a lot about SDSU at all. I also hear that SLO is particularly good for engineering, business, agriculture, and engineering. And their graduates seem to get jobs!

thank you everybody!
and to NCalRent i have a 4.17, 1810 SAT superscored, and have been working since the summer after my junior year, and am a varsity athlete (I only added this so that younger students who read this can have an idea of the type of students SLO accepts for business, not to show off lol)

@groot12345 Great stats but, you were asking about MBA programs so, I assumed you had, or nearly had, a BS/BA.

For undergrad, they are both outstanding. If you feel more comfortable on one campus vs another - pick that one.

Good luck.

SLO

Visit both.
SDSU has a huge alumni network and they have good business connections since many profs are in the local and LA business communities with the tech companies both in SD and LA.
