UCSB, hands down.

If the amount of aid meant nothing at all, I would go with UCSB. Not only does UCSB supposedly have a better party scence than SDSU, but it definitely has better academics as well. UCSB is #45 on USNWR, and SDSU is a 4th tier school if I recall correctly. San Diego is probably a better location than Santa Barbara, but that's not to say SB isn't an awesome place to go to school.

I'll take UCSB.

UCSB by a longshot...

well my econ teacher told me that 34% of people have STDs i didnt believe it then i asked my friend who goes there, i said hes not sure about the stat but A LOT of people have STDs

ucsb is a residential college, one of the few in CA. Students live on campus or right off it in Isla Vista. SDSU students are scattered thru the San Diego area. So ucsb provides a better college "feel".

theres a reason UCSB is so much harder to get into, but i just never really liked it

it depends on what type of college experience you are looking for. At SDSU you have the bigger frat scene and are in the middle of a big city while still feeling somewhat secluded in the campus. UCSB has a suburban setting with the surrounding town filled with mainly college students. Both will give you the college feel and i think it comes down to if you want to be in a city or not

UCSB is certainly tops in academics and has a very lively party scene...of there's nothing limiting you financially, go for it.

:)
