<p>I am a transfer that got rejected to sdsu with a 3.88 cumulative in business admin. i completed all the prereqs with a 4.0 in those courses and finished igetc and have over 70 units. i called to ask why i was rejected and they said they only admitted transfers who were from the san diego area... can anyone confirm this?</p>

<p>They didn’t exactly lie, they do give priority to sd area so it might have a lot to do with how many sd kids have your major</p>

<p>ya the csu’s are messed up. I got rejected from sjsu, sdsu. But accepted to ucr, ucsc, and ucsd. LOOL</p>

<p>@WILLlol The reason you got in was because you’d be paying out-of-state tuition, and CA needs your money! :))</p>

<p>Not only do they give priority to the San Diego area, they limit it to that area closest to campus in San Diego. The “cutoff” line for preferred admission is the 56 freeway. I live about 25-30 minutes from SDSU and 10 minutes north of the 56, but still wouldn’t be given priority.</p>

<p>Yeah I found SDSU to be completely random in their acceptances/rejections… I was denied from SDSU but admitted to UCSB (Those are the only two decisions I’ve received thus far). My buddy (same school/area) with a 2.9ish and a bunch of W’s on his transfer record was admitted and as you could probably guess, rejected from all UC and most CSU’s. Its not like I care cuz it was my backup school and I got into UCSB, I just thought it was kind of strange haha</p>

<p>Who wouldn’t want to get out of TN… I’m from FL so maybe I’m BIASED.</p>

<p>I’m an in-state, non-local student, and surprisingly enough, I was waitlisted at SDSU. I’m going to CSUF next fall though, so it doesn’t really matter.</p>

<p>SDSU tends to favor students who live within their service area. I’m sure you will get into a better school than SDSU!</p>

same shii happened to me…and i actually wanted to go there.
The outer-staters get in because they are destined to pay more money.
I called as well and the man straight up looked at my GPA, said oh maybe this is a mistake. Then he asked what county my city is in. LOS ANGELES…
“oh thats the reason he said”

<p>also rejected from sdsu(accounting) with a 3.6 and all prereqs/igetc done. I actually don’t know anyone that got in though</p>
