i just checked my report card online and am freaking out because I got a d in english. My gpa is now a 2.9 while before it was a 3.5, which it would've been had i gotten a c in english. I'm terrified that I'm going to get rescinded and I'm hoping theres something I can do, I just need some plan of action. Im going to call sdsu tommorrow when their office opens but other than that I'm stuck. Is there any way I won't get rescinded? please help

I can’t tell you what will happen, but I think it’s quite likely you won’t be rescinded. Is there a summer school where you could retake the class, or a community college? If so, having a plan to make up the credit when you call might be a good idea.

You obviously know what CSUMentor says about your English grade…so…with that being said—a couple of questions:
1/ Did you take an AP exam? If so, and you score 3-4-5 (scores come out in July), that might make up for this deficiency.
2/Was the grade in error? If so…go to your school tomorrow and ask how it can be rectified.
3/Go to your community college—and take a college level English course. Check w/SDSU as to which course they will accept.
4/Own this-and you may be able to be put on academic probation.
Good Luck~

thanks guys, I did take an AP test and there is a reasonable chance i scored a 3 or higher. right now my plan is to call all the community colleges in my area tommorrow and then call sdsu with my plan for retaking it. Im also going to email my teacher and ask if there is anything she can do about it, although i suspect this will be fruitless. My hope at the moment is that the sdsu admissions office will be understanding with my situation and allow me to amend my grade.

Fingers crossed for you.
