My D will be applying to SDSU school of nursing this Fall. Do they take high school leadership positions, hospital volunteer hours (she has a letter of rec), etc. into consideration? I was told all state school applications Only ask for GPA and SAT and/or ACT scores, nothing else.
@BlackStallion: You have posted this in the SUNY Binghamton thread, but the SDSU Nursing school looks at your SAT/ACT scores, your CSU GPA, your grades in Chemistry/Biology and Algebra 2 which need to be a B or higher along with HS course rigor. Having volunteering hours/experience only helps in making sure that you believe Nursing is the career you plan to pursue. LOR’s and EC’s are not even asked for on the CSU application.

California UC’s: UCLA/UCI Nursing do ask for LOR’s and EC’s/Volunteer hours will be considered.
