If you indicated on your app that you have and ADT then we won’t hear back until the end of march. I contacted admissions asking why this was the case and its because the deadline to get your AA verified is March 15, so after it’s verified then they apply that to your admission decision. @muffinpoptarte That’s pretty strange. Can you think of any differences at all between your and your friend’s applications? Are you guys the same ethnicity? My only guess is that they’re sending out decisions in alphabetical order by name or last name or something random like that.

Pretty bummed and surprised to be honest. I really doubt too many applicants had a higher GPA than me for my major, especially given the massive amount of science major prep that was required. They did give me the option of being added to the waitlist, however. Anyway, here are my stats. Good luck to the rest of you.

Pretty shocked. I applied with a 3.71 GPA for Journalism. I saw someone with a 3.33 in this thread get accepted earlier. Im not from the SD area. Im from the high desert.

@Panorama14: Here is the link for the appeal process. For an appeal to be successful, you need new and compelling information unless there was a mistake made by either SDSU or your transferring CC that affected your decision.

Admission: Just got “Denied” today - I was kind of prepared for this because I know that my GPA is not good enough. I was advised by my counselor to apply for Women Studies instead of Social Work but I didn’t listen, one of my friends just got admitted with a 2.7 as a Women Studies major, she’s planning to change it to Communication as soon as she can. I should have listened to my counselor … I don’t know if I should appeal. What do you guys think?

CSU San Marcos is my only hope now, I’m even taking a class at Palomar College just to have a higher chance of getting admitted which was recommended by my counselor.
Just for you to know, my SDSU portal said they had 84,000 applicants for only 8,300 spots.
