so i applied for the ECON BS… you guys are saying that i received that email because my major requirements falls
on AAT or ADT, OK if that can get me into SDSU i dont care, but my question is before that email i already applied
for my AA, but not as ADT should i change it to ADT???
I like how y’all are mad about having to wait for decisions as if we know our spots our being given away the longer we wait, lmao. We don’t know anything, you guys. It’s possible they saved us spots and are just waiting for the ADT verifications to come in before letting us have those spots. :-*
I agree. I actually read somewhere on last year’s SDSU transfer thread that SDSU reserves spots for ADT applicants it’s just that they wait on the verifications and then they send out their decisions come April.
It’s just the fact that I want to be able to have the opportunity to appeal if I am denied.
Major: Psychology (Applied)
GPA: 3.6
AA-T/AS-T?: Yes!
Pre-reqs: Some are in progress, but most are completed.
Golden 4: 3 As and a C :
SD Area?: Nope
My decision is pending, but according to an e-mail from them, I won’t hear anything until April. I’m going to Experience SDSU this weekend, so hopefully I get to learn about a campus that I might be accepted to. Psychology has a 12% acceptance rate, though. ):
@100789 are you from California? I’m also a psych major!
@KK456 Yes, I’m from California!!
Econ Major- PENDING
Anybody who has applied and been denied thinking it’s worth to appeal?
@bonjouruc2016 It’s always worth a shot. I sent my appeal letter yesterday. The only problem is, I don’t think they get back to you until well after May 1st… which is the deadline to enroll at most cal state schools.
I was denied May 2014, I appealed before the end of the month. July 2nd 2014 I got a request for more documents. July 14th 2014 I was admitted on webportal, the email was sent the morning of July 15th 2014.
@alexisNS Thanks for sharing, that’s a crazy long wait to be in suspense!
That’s such a. Long time waiting for the appeal! That only gives a month to figure out housing and classes before the semester actually starts
@alexisNS Well congrats on getting in. Were you able to apply for on-campus housing? Hopefully all the spots won’t be filled up at that point.
I’m married, so my husband and I found a townhouse in La Mesa. My husband was already going to SDSU, so we were planning to move anyway. I was accepted just in time to schedule the last orientation. I didn’t have any trouble with financial aid or getting classes or anything. I don’t know how it will be for transfers with the new wait list system though.
The wait was awful. I was accepted to two other schools in Northern California (that I panicked and applied to after I was denied SDSU) but they weren’t realistic options for a number of reasons- all were laid out in my appeal.
@mario1456 Any update on your pending status? I’m a Geology major too, applying to transfer to SDSU this Fall. So happy to see a Geology major on here. I’ve been checking this site for two years now.
Alright so I’m not sure if I was suppose to turn in my degree verification form but reading over this thread, it appears that your CC does it for you. I hope so or else I lose my chance of getting accepted.
Anyone already admitted but missing one class?
This class wasn’t the big 4 but it was definitely a requirement, the only thing is that it was finally back in my CC after I graduated. It took a 3/4 year hiatus and I guess the prof decided to teach it once again.
If I get denied because of this missing class, am I able to appeal and tell them I can make it up during summer?
Does anyone know how that works?
@votvureiv I don’t know much about the ADT or whether they automatically do it for you or not! But if the class thing is the problem, I think you definitely have a chance of appealing especially since the class wasn’t available for the 3-4 years!!! You’d probably have to get some kind of formal letter from your college stating that, and using it as proof of new evidence to be reconsider!
@votvureiv I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to tell someone at your school to submit your preliminary verification for you. At my cc I had to fill out forms for the district first to certify that I’m getting my AD-T then they were able to send in my preliminary verification through e-verify to SDSU. It took like 3 weeks for them to do it so I submitted my paperwork in like the third week of February and my thing was sent a week before SDSU’s deadline.
@Miuna2015 Ah, that letter could definitely help. Hope it doesn’t come to that! I just went to Preview Day yesterday and I talked to several transfers that were missing 1-3 classes and still got in. They had a GPA of 3.7+ though. Also, most of them were local. Thanks for helping!
