Has anyone done the Weber honors application after the January 15th deadline and heard back? I just found out about the honors college last week and finished perfecting my application today and submitted it just now. I’m curious to see how loose that mid-April acceptance thing is.

I had to take different classes this Spring then the classes I expected when I filled out the SDSU app back in fall. Does that really matter? The major difference was choosing a different science class. I took Astro instead of Chem. That’s the only class I needed to complete to transfer.
@Miuna2015 that stinks! what were all your stats if you don’t mind me asking, also were you in SD area. If I am denied I am automatically appealing, just don’t know what I need to write.
@Miuna2015 Can I ask what you wrote on your appeal? I’m with Kierstin, I will be appealing if I’m denied but I wouldn’t know what to say besides just asking them to reconsider. Plus by July I will probably already be committed to going to another school

In my appeal letter I stated that I knew why I was denied and that it was because of my SDSU GPA being a 1.7. I let them know I couldn’t afford to retake that class which cost 1000 bucks lol so I paid 300 for a one unit class to boost my GPA up. And I let them know how it was difficult without transportation to get to my last required class being that it was a night and buses stopped running. Then my letter format was letting them know what my letter was about and I started each paragraph first, second, and lastly. In the lastly part I kinda explained to them why sdsu is for me simply because I don’t have the funds to go off to college and I needed to help my mom out and sdsu only offers this program I’m interested in. Sorry its long but hopefully it helps!!! Oh also I had to send proof to back it up!

@Miuna2015 I’m pretty sure if you fall below 2.0, they will automatically reject you, that’s the CSU criteria, or cut-off GPA. You should still appeal though!

@topchoiceschool she’s referring to her appeal letter from last year (which was approved/she was granted admission), meaning she was once a SDSU student already and has a higher cumulative GPA for CSU criteria admission already. Even if you have a 3.XX cumulative and you attended one semester at SDSU only and got bad grades, they would want you to pay out of pocket for summer session to boost your SDSU GPA.
Oh this was when I appealed back in 2015! I got everything back up now, I’m going in with no problems and sad I won’t have a good enough reason to appeal this time lol

I remember when I applied to SDSU during high school, I got my decision on the first Wednesday of March, I don’t know if it is the same for transfers… But hopefully it is! Good luck everyone!
