I know that statistics isn’t a highly competitive major and there are typically less than 50 applicants applying to it every year. I have A’s in Calc 1-3, Discrete Mathematics, Java Programming and C++, Elementary Statistics, Financial Accounting, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. I’m completing my last prerequisite class this semester at Mesa. My GPA is only a 3.51 because I have received C’s in three of my GE classes. They’re very difficult for me to take seriously. Good luck everyone!
I read somewhere that transfers begin to find out their admission status in early March. But, looking at the last few years, most people start to find out in April.

Incredibly nervous because of my low GPA…Good Luck everyone!!
We’ll I looked through last years transfer thread and it looks like only a handful of out of area applicants were accepted. I hope everyone has a back up plan cause odds are most of us will get rejected.
I’m about 85% local SD area, but I get your drift. I’m very worried about it. SDSU is the only college in CA that offers my major, so no back ups for me. =(

okay so I am pretty confident I will get in, I am just a little nervous about one thing. So I thought that my computer science class would fill in for the major prep course - principle of info systems. I am recently finding out that It does not. and I talked to the people at SDSU and they said having just one prep course not complete will not hurt my chances. I am just worried because on the supplemental application I put that that course will be fulfilled.

Is it just me or were more people discussing this last year? Maybe this means less people applied.
SincerelyDoubtThat.
I hate this waiting game. What’s worse is that there always seems to be a delay in the amount of time people wait to hear back about their acceptances.
@PaleoMajor I was thinking the same thing! There were definitely more people posting on the transfer threads in previous years.
Judging from last years thread, most people heard through the month of March, so just give it a bit more time.
I applied to SDSU last year and heard back in late March, unfortunately being non-local killed my chance of getting in . Applied again this year but most likely won’t be accepted because its so impacted
Yeah I have to take another course to articulate with principles of information systems and I had an argument with the staff at SDSU over it. Unfortunately since you put down on your supplemental application that you will have it completed when they find out you actually don’t that is grounds to have your provisional acceptance withdrawn.
I read an article on their website saying there were over 85,000 applicants for Fall 2017 with over 22,000 of them being transfers. The most popular majors were Business (of all categories) and Nursing.
