I got into both for Electrical Engineering. Can't decide where to go to. The social aspect of SDSU appears to be much better than Pomona, but the engineering program at Pomona seems much better. Also, how is it getting classes at SDSU? I have heard that it is very difficult to obtain classes at Pomona...

Got into UCSC too, but the price of going there keeps me from attending...

pros and cons of the schools?

it is really hard to get classes at SDSU all my friends their say they wait for their time to get their classes and click the button for the class they want over and over until their time hits… kinda confusing, but everyone has a set time they can sign up for their classes, and you slowing watch class enrollment go from 30-13-2-0 like withing a minute because everyone is trying… unless u are a student with eops or somekind of early decision you wont have a hard time; but i hear it is a lot of fun there

I’m a Chemical Engineer at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) and I’ve never… EVER have had a problem adding any of my engineering classes. Adding classes is a problem for all other underwater basket-weaving majors but in today’s economy that’s expected. Cal Poly Pomona is more hands on and has a stronger engineering reputation (1 in 4 students are in engineering). It’s offers double as many majors as SDSU for engineering.

However, SDSU is a fine institution and the best CSU for Business, it’s also in a global city such as San Diego (CPP is 27 miles from downtown LA) and SDSU has the most beautiful campus in the system as well as Div 1 athletics.
