I’m currently a high school-er and is going through the college admission process. I am looking to pursue a Business Administration degree, specifically Marketing. I’m not a great student so probably schools like UCLA or UCB is a no-no. If you know anything regarding to SDSU or Cal Poly SLO or perhaps any other suggestions (within California), please help me out. Some UCs I have heard of (with good business program) are UC Davis and UCI. The factor that I care about the most is regarding the job placement, internship, etc. Thanks for any inputs!
If you are not a great student, what are your current stats since SLO, SDSU, UCI and UCD are competitive schools. Think around a weighted GPA around 4.0 or higher, SAT scores around 1300+ and ACT scores around 30+.
UCD has no Business school but they do have Managerial Econ or Economics but nothing geared toward Marketing. If Marketing is your focus, then the Cal States would have more options.
All schools have career centers where you can give information regarding whom recruits at each campus for jobs and internships. Most of this will be up to you to make the connections and use of the resources available at each school.
UC GPA capped weighted = CSU capped weighted (10-11th grades only for the a-g courses with a max 8 honors points for UC approved Honors, AP, IB or DE courses taken during this time)
SLO GPA= CSU capped weighted (9-11th grades with the 8 honors points weighting).
You can use the Rogerhub GPA calculator to give you an idea of your current GPA for these schools.
