Hello everyone! I was admitted into CSULB and SDSU for Computer Engineering major. I've been searching everywhere online for which school would be better for my particular major but haven't had much success. Some sources tell me CSULB has a great engineering program while others swear that SDSU is much stronger. I am also looking for that stereotypical 'college experience' as well (I've heard CSULB is a commuter school?).

Your opinion and thoughts on where I should attend? Explain to me your reasoning! I am eagerly awaiting to hear your answers. Thanks in advance.

Have you visited both campuses? If you have time, spend a day at each campus, preferably a weekday when classes are in session. That way, you’ll get a feel for what life is like at each college. I would lean toward SDSU, only from what I’ve heard about their engineering program, but go visit so you can make your own choice.

I live in NorCal so I haven’t been able to visit the either of the campuses.

Have you had your spring break, yet?

I think they’re about the same in quality

Csulb is pretty much somewhat of a commuter school. sdsu has a chunk of party go-ers. Every rave in LA I’ve been to, I’ve met someone from sdsu.

You must visit both schools in person. Even if you live in nor cal. Just plan it. Ask yourself: it is worth taking a risk not going and enrolling in one over the other?
