SDSU vs Pepperdine for Transfer

Hello,

I am a transfer student and have been admitted to both. I am having a hard time choosing which one. With the scholarships I have gotten from Pepperdine both schools come to around the same cost, so the price isn’t an issue. Plus there will not be any religious requirements for me at Pepperdine even though they are a religious school.

Pepperdine: There is a Bachelor of Science in Management program that would allow me to finish up the bachelor’s program in 2 years and guaranteed acceptance to get an MBA in only 1 year.

SDSU: Will take me 2 years for the bachelor’s and I would have to worry about getting into a graduate school later on.

You don’t want to go straight into grad school for an MBA.

You want to work a few years so that when you get out of grad school, it has value.

Going straight through is of little value - most don’t get much better jobs than they do out of undergrad. It’s that work experience that gives value to your grad school experience - and thus will net you a higher salary, etc.

Their MBA guarantee is just a marketing strategy to get more revenue - but it’s not helping you.
