I'm a community college student applying to transfer to UCLA, UCSB, UCI, UC Berkley, as well as several state colleges. I was already accepted into Fresno State University and Long Beach State, I have a 3.5 GPA and I've applied as an English major. I was just denied admission to San Diego State and I'm wondering what chances I have for any of the UC's? Many counselors from my college and UC counselors made it clear that I had very good chances of getting into the UCs as a transfer but now I'm not so sure. I know San Diego state is being very selective this semester and that the English major is very popular, but I'm wondering if I might end up with the same results for the UCs. Does anyone know my chances as a transfer student, with a 3.5 GPA, with an application as an English major, for getting into any UCs?

I believe the average GPA for a transfer to UCLA is about 3.77. Each year, there are more and more transfer applicants, which means more competition, but you have a chance at the lower UCs.
