Does SDSU app require you to write an essay? Also do they look at EC's such as starting a charity?

Thanks

As a CSU, it does not require you to write an essay. And as far as I remember, there was a section on the csu application that allowed you put in extra currics as well as where you have worked and clubs you are a part of.

But is there an option to write an essay

No, csu’s do not accept essays. Only essay you may have to write would be if the major you were applying to at SDSU required an essay, but I do not think any of them require it. I applied to cal poly SLO and even my computer science major did not require an essay.

Oh I see, alright PERFECT! thanks for the help!

You’re welcome. CSU’s are much nicer to those who aren’t too great of writers. But it does make it so that you are competing mostly on your grades and scores along with your productive life outside of school.

I believe SLO and Cal Maritime are the only CSUs that ask for extra curriculars. Cal States admit by formulas. The eligibility index for an out of service area student at SDSU is much higher than someone from within the service area.

I believe that’s true, whenhen. And the formula is a combination of SAT scores and GPA. I know I’ve seen the chart they use somewhere.
