My teachers decided that it was best to seal their recommendations and give it back to me to send with my application (registered mail). However, no one signed the back flap to seal the letter and there is no way for me to contact them to do this. Will this invalidate my recommendations? Pleae help!

Probably not. Just put the school's return address at the top.

It should be okay, just have the school as a return addy.

woops!!! For my recs, I made all the envelopes and they signed the back of them. However, I had my return address listed. Will this be a problem? Crap, now they will think I did my own recs or something. :(

I don't think that is a problem. They will not think you did the recs yourself since the backs of the envelopes were signed. Besides, if they are really so unsure, they can just phone your teachers and make sure.

they probably won't even pay that much attention to it.

Ummmm, isn't the rec taken out of the envelope and placed n a folder? How would adcoms even know?

I think the admission office secretaries open the recommendation letters and school report from the envelopes and sort them out into the applicant folder.

I mean, the admission officer wouldn't want to go through the trouble of opening minimum of three envelopes for every application would he??? lol maybe he would.

I'm using school envelopes just the signatures on the back aren't there. I wish I could call the admission offices but there really is no sense in worrying since all my teachers are away for winter break. Thank you for the help.
