I can’t find the search function.
and have found this message when looking for posts through profile stats:
We are aware that searching is down and are working to get it back up and running. The message is incorrect and searching will be back up and running around noon EDT today, June 3, 2011. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

It has been days that the search has not been working in one way or another. Now, no search, no new posts, no latest posts, and no participated posts.
It’s no fun “playing” with cc now… need toys back.

Wow… I must be addicted… I too logged off/on again about 763 times… LOLOL I thought it was me or my computer… thougt I was doing something wrong! My NEW POSTS tab went POOF last night… I miss it so… LOL wow. I need to get a life…
Wouldn’t it have been nice if someone(a tech person @ CC) had posted a message about the issues? As not to drive us all crazy? I’m just saying…

Usually someone does post something. There are lots of folks wondering what the heck is wrong with their computer…
Dont they send out a mass email to all the members? Email alerts would be such a nice feature. I am an hour away from home, sitting in Starbucks since 1:30p and was looking forward to my daily(ok, hourly) CC fix… thank God my daughter is done with her volunteering @ 6p.
I’m with the CC tech team and sincere apologies for the instability in the search functionality. Search as well as latest post, etc have been re-enabled and we are investigating the cause of this latest outage.

Is there a way to search one’s own postings/threads? Some forum software has a mechanism for that.
Edit: Never mind, I found it Click your username and a drop-down menu appears. Click “Find More Posts By [your username]”.

Thank you all for your feedback and your patience. I will be performing maintenance on the search feature this Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 5am EDT to restore search to a stable state. This will take about 2 hours during which search will be down but the site will remain up and running. If one of the moderators feels it is wise to make this announcement sticky or featured, please feel free to do so. Thanks.
