searching for the college fit, please HELP!

I am a freshman in college, but I plan on transfering. I go to the University of Iowa, and just find it too big, and just doesn't fit me right. I know what I want in a college, but can't seem to find one. If you could help me out, that'd be great. So my gpa and all that aside (its 3.7 now), I just want one that would fit me. Okay, so here is what I am looking for:
-A medium size private college (ie larger than 2000 but smaller than 10,000)
a good size would be 5000 or so
-and not just like high shcool where rumors and all spread and you know EVERYONE, though knowing a lot of people isn't bad
-somewhere in the midwest, im from iowa and wouldnt want to be more than 5 hrs away, preferably no more than 3 though
-Preferably a beautiful green campus and not just scrunched up in a blocks length
-A good biology program, I'm thinking about pre-med - so good academics but not people still know how to have fun once they are done studying
-not a suitcase school where everyone leaves on the weekend
-not a place with a bunch of stuck up people hung up on themselves
-the professors actually care if you learn and don't just try to set up their tests so some people fail
-a place with opportunities with sports/clubs/groups, and not just some small liberal arts college where only people from the surrounding area of state go

okay i know that is really picky and i would be willing to make some exceptions. i dont know if a school like that exhists, but if it does, please tell me!!!!!!!! thanks, katie

How about Grinnell? It's a green campus (in the summer!), has a great science department, nice people, caring profs, sports and clubs and has a decent international student population, and is becoming more diverse each year.
If that's too close or too small, you might consider Washington University(Wustl) or Northwestern. They are both private and more expensive than Uof I, but if you qualify for financial aid, that would help out.

Also at the small end of your range - St. Olaf's. There aren't very many residential colleges that attract students outside a particular state that are that size, 5000, AND not highly selective (think Yale, Brown).

That is a tough size, the schools that size tend to be regional state universities that are often, but not all suitcase schools, or extremely selective.

I think it depends on what type of school you can get into, but WashU and Northwestern seem absolutely perfect.

Another vote for St. Olaf. And no reason not to check out Carleton (across town) if you visit St. Olaf. Carleton is smaller and harder to get into though.
