25% except for bioengineering which arond 10%

^Wait what?

Why would it be different based on major?

Where do you get 10% number for bioengineering from? This is the first time I heard that they actually break out this number. If this is true, you can apply to other unpopular engineering program and pick bioengineering later on without any hassle. This does not seem right.

wow really didn’t know that about bioengineering

(historically there are very few transfers between programs for people who did not enter curriculum deferred)

Usually about 1/4 of the freshmen engineering class declare themselves as BE. But by sophomore year, a portion has transferred to other majors. There are alot of things you can do at SEAS- doesn’t have to be just BE.

As someone has mentioned, you can always choose BE later and apply through another major first. But this is given the fact that your resume currently reflects a focus toward another major.
