SEAS info anyone?

I was wondering what some of the statistics were for the undergraduate School of Engineering and Applies Sciences, for example, acceptance rate, average GPA of accepted students, and average SAT scores. If you know the answer for both normal and Early Decision, that would be much appreciated. I couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere online.

SEAS has a higher acceptance rate. However, Columbia does not publish broken out scores, GPAs etc for SEAS vs College.

SEAS is about 9% acceptance and the college is about 7%

Does anyone know what the percentage of female students is at SEAS?

Here’s all the info you can get about Columbia Engineering (2011):

[Columbia University - 2011](http://profiles.asee.org/profiles/5438/screen/19?school_name=Columbia+University)

Looking at these numbers, Columbia Engineering has pretty high SAT scores. The average quality of students in Columbia engineering is probably similar to CMU SCS, and a notch below Caltech, but the differing factor is that all the Columbia students are much more well rounded.

What is SCS? Doesanyone know the percentage of women in the SEAS classes?
Thank you.

<a href=“Columbia OPIR”>Columbia OPIR;

SEAS is 35.1% female. Columbia College is 51.3%. Barnard is 100%. GS is 45.1% for BA students.

I’m a current Columbia student (class of ‘14) and I’m working on starting a company that provides application and essay counseling/advice, but I’m trying to freelance my services a bit before diving in. I’m planning on offering one on one skype conferences to evaluate candidates’ essays or applications/supplements. Contact me at rcm2140@columbia.edu for more info!

Columbia wants SEAS to be more balanced. So females have a higher chance of being accepted in SEAS.

Thank you for that chart, Campaigner.
