I vow to have a life.

(I find my sentence to be more grammatically appealing. ;))

oops, forgot my vow hehe

I vow for a life

I will have a life =p.

no need to vow.. NY is too much for me to stay inside.

I vow not to resist the city.

I agree with lynda. We're going to be in NYC, there is no way that anyone will want to stay inside. Even if we don't make it down to say, Times Square, Morningside Heights is beautiful.

I vow to have a life while in SEAS.

I also vow to visit every single coffee/pastry shop that isn't starbucks along broadway/amsterdam while at columbia =D who's with me?

lol I vow to have a life.
do we really get that much more work??

i vow to have a life
-im with you crystalxheaven, lol

This isn't really true. You'll be busy during midterms and finals, but you'll have a life for most of the semester.

ty columbia2002, good news!

o well... another pointless thread

reports of SEAS students' lack of social lives are greatly exaggerated my friends. while you probably won't be able to screw around AS much as the cc kids and not suffer grave pain to your GPA (which you'll learn to care a lot less about in college, trust me), it's everything else that'll suck up your time. extra-currics etc.

my 2 friends in SEAS has alot of work. I plan to be a hermit. lol

no... no hermits. We will have fun and happy college life

"I vow to have a life while in SEAS."

hahah u poor souls say that now but just you guys wait. Butler, my friends, will be your new home..
Its sad, but out of all the ivyleagues, columbia is probably the least party-type school. Kids here are robots, hauling themselves to butler during the weekend... Its such a pity. Nyc is such a wonderful city, but the people here I feel work like crazy and never want to go out.

Wait, you speak as if you're a current student. Is that the case?

laloopie -- I disagree.

I'm personally not a partier, but lots of ppl I know are -- ppl DO get out and take advantage of the city! And none of my SEAS friends are cooped up all day studying. I'm CC and I think the workload is very manageable. It's all about balancing sleep, fun, and work.

yapsuper yes i am currently a frosh @ cc

it depends on the crowd. there are adderall popping butlerites and drunk-on-monday nighters as well. pick your crowd, find your groove, and stick with it. set your goals and work your life around it. or, if you so wish, vice versa ;)

Very profound piece advice written modern language.... Thanks.

yapsuper you sound really stupid, i can bet you didn't have a life in high school either, so good luck in college.
