SEAS or M&T?

Am I competive for M&T or should I just stick with SEAS. I know crazy M&T is...only like 50 people. I really want to get into Penn and I would be more than happy not doing M&T if it is a big reach...so I don't know what to do.

SAT: 1550/ 2310
SAT II: Math II:800, History: 800, will take bio in dec
GPA: 97.14/ 100
Rank: 1 out of 40

APP: Common
Major: Chemical Engineering

Essays: Common essay: Hunting, Penn Essay: my future in engineering and its relation to agricuture, and why I think penn is good for this path

EC:Prez of class and school, 4H, charity club, editor of yearbook, soccer captain, lacrosse, 4-5 jobs, one science internship, political party volunteer, not many awards just a few normal ones

What are my chances for both SEAS and M&T. Right now I am thinking to just doing SEAS, but I really don't know.

When you apply to M&T, you can indicate a single-degree choice as your backup and if you qualify for the single-degree but not M&T, they'll take you. So I'd say give M&T a shot and indicate SEAS as ur back-up. With great essays and recs, I think you're a very competitive applicant.

From what I've seen browsing the threads over the past year, M&T admissions seem pretty random. Give it a shot anyway, as I am this year (ED though) =p.

Wow 1550 SAT? That's like a 500 on each section...

but they do weigh the GPA more than the SAT so they may look past that.

I think you have a good chance

dude its 1550 only CR andM

2310 total
