Seas vs cas

okay so I am applying to UPenn ED this year and I have to choose between SEAS and CAS. My application is geared more to physics, calculus, and engineering ... but I heard SEAS is hard to get into. I just wanna make sure if CAS is easier because I heard from others that SEAS has a higher acceptance rate.... thanks to ppl who replied

No. SEAS is the easiest of all the schools. Wharton is the difficult one.

All 3 are difficult. They look for different things. A strong Wharton candidate could make a very weak SEAS candidate, and vice versa.

thx for ur reply, but how do you know this? Is there some evidence you can show me? Im having doubts that engineering is easier than cas because they select less people/year.

SEAS has a higher acceptance rate than CAS. That doesn’t mean you should apply to SEAS if you want to be a history major.

As far as program difficulty, SEAS is definitely the hardest.

^^So very true.

A lot of engineering applicants are incredibly strong in the maths/sciences department, and they are often very self-selective. There is no particular indication that Penn engineering is actually easier to get into, as the actual average statistics may very well be higher than the average applicant to CAS.

Do what you love, and go for it. There’s no point in trying to be/do something you’re not.
