Seaver and Mckenna Achievemtn award chances?

<p>Hi! I am wondering if it would be worth it to apply by the December 1 deadline and how competitive these scholarships are? I am applying to both Pomona and Claremont Mckenna and they are probably my top two choices.</p>

<p>SAT: 800 CR, 750 Math, 790 W (2 sittings)
GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.33 weighted</p>

<p>School doesn't rank.</p>

<p>For ECs: president of several clubs, 2 internships, lots of community service, community theatre, camp counselor. I also started a summer camp for kids with a friend, not sure if this counts as starting a business.
Probably pretty strong recs.

<p>It’s definitely a good idea to apply! What is there to lose? All it requires is an earlier submission - no extra essays/work. Definitely try!</p>

<p>you’re in the running. if you don’t get one it won’t be because you’re much less qualified than the people who do get it. This is rarefied air you’re walking in, and nobody’s a lock.</p>
