Second Acceptance?

If you get accepted to a school applying as a freshmen applicant and even get some sort of scholarship but decide to go elsewhere, are you likely to be accepted again the next year as a transfer student, what, if any, are the circumstances surrounding this issue?

ya i am in the process of doing the same thing and basically all i had to do was to tell them i wanted to re-apply and they basically took my old application and just reactivated it. the financial aid i actually got more than i did applying as a freshmen. once you get the financial aid and your application re-activated you are pretty much all set...id just go talk to the admission and financial aid people.

Dhaynes, what universities are you applying to? Does anyone else know if this can be done at most universities or whether its maybe just a few? From the stuff that I was reading it seemed like I'd have to make a completely new application again as a transfer student, it seems like it'd have to be done, what with another year added on as information.

I am doing it for Umass-Lowell and Northeastern a state and private school haha can't decide but anyways I'm a freshmen so it might be easier because they would definetly have the application. But if you go in and talk to the transfer admissions people at the school and talk to them they will let you know what to do. But as far as what I had to do is well they re-activated my application and financial aid and updated the years and stuff like that and all they want is my transcript and they will do an evaluation as to what credits transfer over.
