I'm currently completing a second Bachelors in Computer Science, because I want to move into the field of software development - and my first bachelors is unrelated. I've recently come upon the knowledge that I would be able to get the Masters degree instead.

Now I know that most employers favor a Masters degree over a Bachelors - but the problem here is that I won't have the undergrad foundation that most CS students get. I will have only about half of that foundation (which includes some courses like Software Engineering and Database Design) - and none of electives.

Would the Masters really be the better choice here - considering that employers favor it? Will it really help me to command a higher entry-level salary?

Thanks much.
