I am in the same predicament.
Curious on what decision you made and how it played out. I have a BS in Natural Resources. I’m currently working in the forestry field, but want to be involved with compliance, regulation, storm water management, basically what true land planning entails.

So should I spend the 3 years (or more) getting a second undergrad degree or go for a masters in say, Environmental Science, which will prob take approx same amount of time?
I feel like a will be limited with the Masters…

i think having both degrees will put you at an advantage. and 26 is not too old. I am 27 and just starting my first degree. think how that will look on my resume! PetE with construction background. lol you also have to think that companies often scout after graduates for their companies and with co-ops or internships you are starting your new career right away. plus it will help you to get hired, perhaps at one of the places you interned at.

You should avoid a second bachelor’s degree if at all possible. Get a Masters degree in engineering instead and just take the pre-requisite courses. The Masters will be vastly more valuable to you than a second Bachelors degree would be.
