My daughter just received an email requesting a second interview? Anyone else in the same position. I am assuming this is a good thing???

If you are an international then yes, otherwise no idea.

Not international- we live in the US, though we are not citizens, permanent residents.

Search for some previous threads on this topic (there have been many). Posters seemed to agree it was a good sign (whether international or no).

I received a second interview when I was applying ('05-'06). The second interviewer told me the committee felt the first interview was insufficient. Later, when working at the admissions office as an undergrad, I gathered that I was a borderline case (between acceptance and weight list) that needed another (more experienced) opinion (my second interview was with the regional coordinator). Good luck to your daughter.

Gibson - Two years ago my daughter was contacted in February as well (she had three by the end). Is the second interview with Alumni or on campus?

Below is a link a thread from last year which then has links to D’s year.

smoda61. Thanks for directing me to the thread. Her second interview is also with an Alumni. She thought her first interview went really well, it was an older gentleman who was fabulous, Harvard grad then post doctorate at Yale and a professor at Emory- all schools she applied to : )
I am hoping that this is a good sign- Harvard is her number one pick. When we visited the campus- she loved it. Only school she has had this reaction too.

If it doesn’t work out this time- there is always law school.

completely agree with huinsider.
