I think maybe they'd like to see them, it's nice to see them, but they're not required. That's the only thing I can figure

It's on the checklist thought <.<

The Andover Admissions told me to send in second quarter grades...

Here's my thing with the second quarter grades: these people have almost three years worth of my high school grades at their fingertips. I can understand them, as GemmaV said, for tenth grade applications and such -- they're still adjusting to high school expectations. And also, I really think that if the schools really wanted them, they'd put it on more than just the application checklist, and my application wouldn't be considered complete without them. It seems like a mixed message.

On top of that, I honestly, completely have no idea when I will recieve them. I'm not interested in delaying my application because my school takes forever to process grades. I'm also not looking to balance out any grades with my 2nd quarter. I believe that my first quarter grades, paired with my 9th and 10th year grades, my test scores, etc accurately display my academic potential just fine.

Starcrossed,
I'm sure they do, but all the same, why not just give the schools what they're asking for? Is it really all that much trouble?
