I took the sats again and i got 210!!!!! points lower than my first time around. how does this affect my chances?

oh btw the first time was 1380

OMG ...210...wow...hmm, i'm sorry to be mean, but i don't know if state schools even take that score (unless you aced the other component)

A 210 is not possible, the lowest scores in both math and verbal are 200, meaning the lowest possible score you could receive is a 400.

Nice try though.

How in the heck did that happen? I don't know how this'll affect you but man, that bites.

He means he got a 1170

lol....im happy i read this thread...it made me laugh..ppl thought u got a 210..hahahaha...neways..wow..hmm..maybe u should take it again...

People think he got a 210 because he added exclamation marks after the "210." He means that he got 210 points lower than 1380... Come on people!

btw..im sorry man..im sure that must be really stressful..

man, you people really don't read carefully.

i dont how you guys could even think of going to college if you cant read what the person wrote...damn..its not that serious or confusin for tht matter!...jeez

HAHAHA I feel like an idiot

i was sick but i didnt wanna cancel my test.

costly mistake,if you tel us what school you are going for, we can tell you how it will affect you

Colleges SAY that they only look at your highest scores, so if we are saying that we believe and trust college admission boards, then it shouldn't be an issue.

case western, lehigh, rpi, umd (ive already applied to three SUNYs(bing, sb, U buffalo)) God this is killing me. I have three papers to write this weekend and a calculus test monday. This is the glop of cherries on top of the cake that has been iced to the max.

I laugh at the people who thought he got a 210, not 210 points lower. Come on, it's not that difficult.

How about just sending your 1380. I believed that cb will let you send old scores for a small fee.

Nope, nowadays they send all scores for the small fee.

I don't think it should be a problem, but... for future reference, if you're sick on test day, should you cancel??

Were you sick on test day though? Do you think there's a out-of-the-ordinary reason why you did worse? On some applications, I think there's a section that asks you to explain any irregularities in your academic record, for example a bad grade or something. Maybe you could explain it there. That's what I would probably do.
