Second-semester classes not scheduled?

I have some college applications due by November 1. Right now I'm a full-time dual enrollment student, so I take four classes every semester and my second-semester classes aren't scheduled yet. I can't schedule classes on my own...I have to meet with an adviser guy who usually takes a while to call/email me back.

The problem is, my college apps all want to know all the classes I'll be taking senior year, and I don't want it to look like I'm only taking four classes all year. I don't want to write down speculative stuff either because some of the classes I want to take only have two or three seats left and I'll probably end up having to take something else...it would be lying. It seems like it's too early to be worrying about this since stuff my applications aren't due until November at the earliest, but the Common App doesn't let you access the "assign recommenders" stuff until you've fully completed the Education section, and I need to be asking for teacher recommendations soon.

Is there anywhere I note this on my applications or send additional information in separately from the rest of the application once I know what I'm taking? (Not all my colleges use the Common App, by the way.)

Anyone???

Write down what you think you’ll take. I was in the same position you were in, wrote down my best guess of what I was going to be taking, and then changed most of them anyways. I just sent updates to each school at the MYR/had my gc include it with my first-semester grades.

^^ Write what you want and plan to take, with (dual enrollment, projected schedule) at the top. Your adviser will send a mid-year report to indicate which classes you are really enrolled in so don’t worry about any discrepancy.

Like the others have said, just write what you expect to take but don’t stress over it. Admissions people understand that classes fill up and things change. As long as the classes you do end up taking aren’t just filler ones, or ones you fail, you’ll be fine.

Part of the problem is what I take next semester is highly dependent on how well I do in the classes I’m currently taking. As in, my second-semester classes have my first-semester classes as prerequisites, and I might not do well in my first-semester classes, so I don’t want to get too ahead of myself.
Would it be okay if I just submitted the Education section with what I know I’m taking? Would I be able to edit it later after the recommendations were done?

I think it is best to put the schedule you plan on if everything goes well. Then amend it when it is set.

I’m in the same position as you. I’m going to write down the courses I hope to take, and then explain the situation in the additional information section.

I have another question related to this…
When I fill out the senior-year courses section, none of the college classes are accelerated/honors/AP (obviously) and they’re only worth 0.8 high school credits each because of the smaller number of hours spent in a classroom.
Does that look bad, or will they be able to tell from the course names that they are college classes?

When I filed out my CA, the very first line for ‘list of courses’ I stated:
ALL COURSES ARE TAKEN ON A UNIVERSITY CAMPUS AS A FULL TIME STUDENT, and fortunately, my school profile and counselor report noted this as well.
