Second Semester grades = possible rejection?

I'm just wondering... I'll be a senior next year and I plan to get amazing grades the first half of the year. I then plan on slacking off. My question is, how big a drop in grades willl really cause a college to reconsider its decision? Will A's to B's cause problems?

For the UCs, they require at least a B average and no Ds or Fs for your senior year grades. Everywhere else depends on arbitrary policies.

It doesn't exactly look great that you can't finish out the last little semester of high school strong...just saying.

Two of my friends Failed Calculus and UCSB and UCSD have not told them anything. How completely unfair.

As to Bs are FINE. Straight Bs are fine for most places. Just avoid Ds like the plague, and limit Cs.

Alright thanks that's what I thought. I don't anticipate too much difficulty in keeping A-'s or B+'s with minimal effort but I just wanted to know how much leeway I had.

As and Bs, and maybe the occasional C shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, if you're taking AP classes, I'd try not to slack off too much, as the tests are pretty late in the year..
