second semester grades

sorry if there has already been a thread on this --

is our school required to send a final year transcript of our senior grades? it's not that i'm doing terrible in my classes, but i'm just wondering. i'm also wondering if anyone has ever heard of maryland revoking acceptance for whatever reason. i know michigan has a very strict policy regarding senior year grades, but i've never heard anything of the sort for maryland.

I think its more along the lines of credit completion. From what I've heard, CP does not care much for senior year grades however, if you are somehow pulling off a 1.0 GPA, I'm sure they'll want some sort of explanation.

i sent in my mid year grades but i don't think they needed them. They were pretty average for me. 3.56UW but a little lower W with a 4.14. Will they even want to see the end of the year grades because they didn't want these... I don't thinkk.

Has ANYONE seen ANYTHING on end of the year grades. I have looked through the site, throught the booklets we got, and I have asked around. There is no information on it. What would get a applicant recinded? Straight D+Fs? Straight Cs?

I'm interested as well, bump.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuump

In one of the chats an admissions peson said that they will 'definately' look at them. She said that it they want to see if you continued the with the same quality as that that got you admitted. Now I still don't think they will be too harsh. I studied for hours yesterday becaues I am not going to take any chances here in the last 20 days.

Agreed with what someone earlier said--no need to go crazy, if your GPA drops by 0.5 they aren't even going to care. If your GPA drops by 2.0, then they might have cause for concern.

many people told me that too, that as long as you maintain "decent" grades and get your credits, you r fine.

That being said, if I dropped from an B to a C in Calc, and from an A to B in AP Physics C, would that really hurt me in terms of keeping my admission at MD? One person told me maybe it will, two have said the opposite.

I seriously doubt it.

I said so too, frankly, my quartly GPA would go from like a 3.71 to a 3.42 (gotta hate it when ONE test worth 55% of ur grade is givin in calc on integrals, and u bomb it totally.)

And in turn, my Cum. GPA would still rise to a 3.26, from a 3.24, lol so I am still "maintaining" my GPA.
