Would maintaining a 3.5 (3 Bs, 3 As) or a 3.67 (2 Bs, 4 As) be good enough to not get me rescinded?
Thanks!
Yes
Rule of thumb: No D’s or F’s and you should be fine.
Yes that would be perfectly fine.
Is this valid for Ivy’s and UCs? Thanks so much!
All UC’s except UCLA/UCB require that you maintain a 3.0 weighted GPA for Senior year with no D’s or F’s. UCLA/UCB require a 3.0 unweighted GPA with no more than 2 C’s.
Keep those grades up. As high as you’re capable of doing when working at your best. If you’re applying to an Ivy and you get waitlisted those second semester grades can make all the difference in getting off a waiting list or not. And assuming that some of those second semester courses are APs, working hard and getting “5” s on the AP exam will make the difference between you getting collge credit for the course or not.
