Well... first semester is done and in the books and I will soon be sending Navy an updated transcript. Does anyone know if I should send in my grades at the end of the year? I think by the time the office gets the transcripts done it will already be I-Day. Heck I was looking at my grades sent home last summer and its postmarked Jul 2nd. Maybe this is a question for the Naval Academy itself but I know some midshipman frequent here. Thanks!

I think for admissions purposes, it would be a day late and dollar short. But, you never know. If you are on the brink, any and all communication is good to show your dedication. But, I believe that you have to submit a final transcript upon entering the Academy. I know you did at NAPS. The high school just sends it, as regular business which they do to all the colleges that their graduates will be attending. All these schools need to know that you did, indeed graduate.

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. They do want to know you graduated.

Do the 1st semester senior grades need to be sent on an updated transcript or should my son just send a copy of his report card?

They should be sent as official transcripts from the high school.

If the grades are posted on the transcript, then send the transcript; if not, send the report card as some schools do not post grades on the transcript until the end of the year.
