I am currently at the end of my junior year and I really need some motivation. Does anyone have any tips on how to finish the year strong? I have noticed that I keep getting distracted and putting off work. How can I stay motivated and focused despite the year coming to an end? I’m in 4 APs and all of my classes have seniors in them who do nothing since they are already accepted to college. I don’t want their complacent manner to rub off on me, so how can I stay motivated?
Study somewhere where it is difficult to be distracted. My daughter does a lot of her hw at the public and local community college library these days. She leaves her phone with me.
Being in a public place where everyone else is studying and working should help.
Also - show up on a regular schedule to the library. For instance, my daughter’s hours there are between 7 and 10pm, at least three nights a week. Then, Sunday night, 6-9.
Treat your study time like a job schedule and just show up at the self-appointed time,whether you feel like it or not.
You could also try forming a study group if you think your friends would not distract you, and vice versa.
