How the hell are you guys maintaining your average. I caught senioritis. I used to get A's all the time. Now... I have a B average all across the board...what the hell am I supposed to do?

reply people dammit

haha It's the same for me as well. My grades are dropping to B's, but I figure that since I'm taking all AP courses, it's not a big deal, as long as I maintain like one-two A's (well, I'm only taking four APs this year, so I guess it's not too bad)

It also helps that I'm surrounded by ultra-motivated people, so I feel the pressure to do well, and therefore end up feeling guilty if I sink too low.

But seriously, I think I'm going to take the time to enjoy the last few months of a high school experience that up till now I've hated.

I keep working? I figure that if I've worked this hard for the past 4 years, I can manage it for another 2 months.

Sungone...from occasionally browsing the forums I've bumped into a few of your threads, like this one and the one regarding an appeal to a school in which you were rejected. I don't quite understand the negative attitude, especially the "reply people dammit," and maybe it is this attitude that permeated your application in the first place and that is how you found yourself in this situation.

Um...work? I'm not going to stop working just because the year is almost over. =/ I still have AP exams to think about. Besides, I don't want to lose my rank. I'm 10th in the class and one little slip-up could make me lose my top ten spot.

umm... study for the sake of learning?

Study so you don't lose your acceptance?

rank still matters at ur school Nickel Xenon?
wow my school's rankings stop from last semester so this semester doesnt really matter anymore

Senior year is the easiest man...I have five AP / Honors courses and am still breezin by. Just remember, the better grades you get...easier it is to move out :D

I've just gotten so used to working... it's habit. I just keep doing it. I was never really one to STRESS much. It's just work.

Also, I hate that disappointed look on teachers' faces when they KNOW you could have done better.

I hate it when high school seniors don't do any of the work (do none of the reading, none of the assignments, not even if it's for an important class like Literature or Math) and go on to colleges like Brown and Wesleyan. I mean, if you hate learning so much, why do you even want to go to college in the first place?

I'm also trying to raise my rank (not that it matters at this point), and hopefully, learn a lot more :)

Honestly, I've gotten so into the habit of working that I really can't bring myself to NOT do my homework. Plus, I have two free periods, so I get out at 12:20 everyday, which makes school a lot less painful.

And I'm hoping to raise my class rank while all my classmates are slacking off...

Oh yes, they're still ranking. ^_^ And only the top ten get Suma Cum Lada and get their named called out first.

Interestingly enough, I've still managed to maintain a 3.9 up till now. I have caught a small side effect of senioritis, mostly the feeling that school is going by extremely slowly, but for the most part, I feel that a decline in integrity would just kick me hard up the ass.

Now, I can't say that I'm a great student in the whole. I've refrained from cheating for the most part throughout my HS career, but have always been lazy. I am a terrible procrastinator, and have always been doing homework the day it is due. In retrospect, I honestly have to say that nothing has changed for me. I've been lazy, and still am.

But I guess it's really the AP tests that still keep me going. But then I look beyond after that, and it's home free.

Senioiritis for me is not letting my B in AP Bio get to me, and procrastinating on finishing up my online government class.

But it's quite a big step, because my B last semester was KILLING ME until i got an A.

I am gonna go commit suicide

Please don't. ^_^''

I find myself starting homework at 11:30 and finishing it the next morning. And, reading books during class. After APs, seriously, it's just going to get worse. I've always been a BIT lazy. Now, it's just worsening. Grade-wise.

Instead of hw, I watch movies and chill. ...Senioritis is good because you get more time to chill with friends / do as you want. =]
