(Im new so I don’t know where to put this post, sorry).
Quick questions. I applied to some competitive schools and throughout high school I have had straight A’s. Im in my second semester of senior year, I want to relax just a little and have fun and enjoy my final year of high school before starting college and my professional life. (A little break is needed). I plan on getting all B’s atleast throughout my final semester, is this ok? Will colleges care? Will it affect chances of acceptance upon being weight listed?
Thanks.
It will not affect your chances of acceptance because decisions made in November through April however colleges can withdraw acceptances and deny admission after seeing a poor second semester however all B’s is no reason for colleges to take back an acceptance decision. If you do have a scholarship though I would be a little careful.
I mostly agree with the above. Check with your college once you have made a decision. There are usually pretty clear rules about final grade reports. The usual rule is no D or F grades. If your have a merit award, or acceptance into an honors college, be sure not to relax too much. Enjoy senior year.
