Second Year Bus-Econ Fall Schedule-Help! :(

Hi everyone, I really need help with my class schedules next year as I've done a horrible job so far. I'm currently a freshman pre-Business Economics major at UCLA. I'm a good student and very disciplined. However, I've really procrastinated on taking my major pre-requisites. I took Math 31A plus two GE classes in the Fall. In the Winter, I opted to take 3 more GE classes instead of working towards Business Economics because I sure about staying in the major. By this Spring, I'd decided to stick to Business Economics but was unable to get any pre-req class besides Math 31B (Econ 1 and 41 had filled up before my first pass).

So, I still have to take Econ 1, 2, 11, 41, and 101, plus Management 1A and 1B. I plan on taking all of these next year in order to be a junior by the time I'm "in" the major.

I'd just like to know if you guys think these schedules are okay:

Fall 2010: Econ 1, 2, Management 1A
Winter 2011: Econ 11, 41, easy GE
Spring 2011, Econ 101, 2 easy GEs
Summer Session C 2011: Management 1B

Mainly my worry is that I'll be too swamped in the Fall, but I can't afford to procrastinate on econ 1 and 2 or I won't finish the lower division econ series by the end of the year. Does anyone know about the classes, are these three manageable for a reasonably disciplined and studious student?

I haven't really talked to a lot of Business Economics majors at school so I'm really looking for some guidance here. Also, I came to UCLA with very little AP credit so my registration dates have been pretty late. Will I be able to get these classes?

Thanks so much for your help everyone.

bump…anyone have any advice here? it’s semi-urgent considering I will have to take summer school this summer if this ^ is not going to work out.

can anyone please help me? summer is approaching and I need to know if I should drop my MGMT 1A summer session class…

What do you want anyone to say?

If you are going to do summer school, I suggest going in full force - as in, don’t just take one class, take 2 per session (or just 2 for session A).

I’d advise you to take Econ 1 or 2 at the very least this summer, assuming you want to finish all of the pre-reqs by the end of your sophomore year. Don’t be a ■■■■■ and ***** out with 1b. Sure, you could do that if you were smart and had started on this **** a little bit earlier, but since you didn’t, I’d advise you to just suffer through Ravetch rather that prolong your schedule even further.

drop biz-econ switch to premed asap
