Long time lurker, first time post. As a Colombian student applying to some American Universities, this site has been in all honesty a lifesaver for me. I certainly had no idea what I was supposed to do a few months ago! To see so many of us going through the same thing is not only a relief, its truly encouraging.

I have a question though, in the common application there is an attachment called "Secondary Education Interruption". As my school year started in January and finished in November I already graduated, so I suppose I have to check the "did/will graduate early" box.
But then it asks me to upload a document to back up that statement. So I was wondering What kind of document should I upload? The diploma? The graduation certificate? A clarification? All of the above?

Graduating early means that you skipped a semester or a year and graduated earlier than your peers. If everyone graduates in November and you completed every single year of high school, you did not graduate early.

You might have to check “did/will take time off” though and explain what you did/plan to do in between now and September, but I am not 100% sure if it counts as ‘taking time off’. Does someone have experience with this kind of situation?

Well… I wouldnt say my situation is the same… but similar yeah… the document need not be official according to admissions… they jus need a document… lik how u’d upload an essay… jus upload document explaining how ur school works… as in… it starts in jan… n so in ends in november… anyways ur GC will be an uploadin a school profile… tat would be official enough…

if u have ne doubts do ask me… i’l be glad to help…if i can… cos CC was my life saver… is my life saver… :)
