I just realized I forgot to give my counselor the Secondary School Report Form from Common App....

Do you guys know if colleges will take them late?
I have five colleges that are due on Jan 1st, and winter break starts tomorrow. (although my counselor told me that if I had any question he was free in the first week of break, hopefully I can reach him.)

I heard that the secondary report isn’t filled out directly by you - so it doesn’t have to be turned in by the 1st, but should be turned in around then?

In the EA round, there was a problem with one of mine and my counselor turned it in late. I called the school to double check that it’d be okay. They said it would, just get it in ASAP. The counselor got it in quickly and I was accepted. Colleges usually don’t penalize applicants for things that counselors and teachers fill out.

Omgee! It’s January 1st! And I didn’t know about the secondary school form until late! I turned in all my other items except my counselor’s stuff! And I tried to contact her and hunted out her home number, but she never called back! School’s closed so i can’t do anything anymore and I’m scared the colleges won’t accept me! And wherever I look up about common app secondary school reports, they say it is due by the deadline. Does anyone know for sure if they will accept it late this year?

Generally, everything should be submitted or postmarked by the deadline date. However, some colleges are more lenient with counselors and teachers when it comes to submitting school forms. You may want to contact the college(s) you have submitted the app to and make them aware of the situation.
