How do I get these reports from my high school when I am out of state? Do I just call the office and tell them I'm requesting the school report forms to transfer? I did not really like my counselor at all...I'm applying to USC as a transfer, btw. I'm just confused because their websites says "You must submit secondary school records and proof of graduation." So, do I have to use the actual report PDFs on the common app, or does this mean to just send the official sealed transcripts? Sorry, I have a ton of questions! Thanks...

me too! also, how do we go about mailing recs? do we just give our profs the common app eval or have them write a letter of rec?

Hey Blaine, I think for the recs, you print out the evaluation sheets and have them send it out. The only confusing this is that how will USC know which letters belong to who, unless they open every letter and try and match the names. Last year, my teachers gave me their letter with their sheet in sealed envelope, so I can send them out all at once. I’m not sure if that can apply here, though. I just don’t want to go back to my high school…I hated my counselor.

Look at the SS Final Report form, you need to print it out and fill out the top part. I would then email your HS GC and ask if you need to send payment for the transcript and whether the HS will pay for mailing or if you should include postage. Then, send the form to your HS GC, along with an envelope addressed to USC with your return address and postage if necessary, and payment for the transcript if necessary. They will fill out the form, include your HS transcript, sign across the seal of the envelope and send it to USC.
