secret/hidden places on campus?

thank you :) now a more important question... will i be crucified if caught down there?

i heard we can get expelled if caught in the tunnels...true or false?

passerby:

if no, would you be interested in venturing into the said tunnels sometime in our ucla future... my interest has been captured by this thread (to say the least). i saw some pictures of the "underground bridge", it looks phenomenal.

i will go with you through the tunnels

I wanna journey thru the tunnels, too.

Adventure?

Hmm. Where's the videos? I'm not surprised that you can get there from Boelter 2nd floor at all. It's creepy down there... and basically a tunnel itself.

Well half of it is not so mysterious, but it's interesting that it's next to a certain professor's office .

whooa those tunnels look siiick. I wanna go exploring tooo

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tunnels19aug19,0,166738.story?coll=la-home-center

NOOOOOOO.

UCLA has blocked off areas of its 6-mile tunnel system!?!?!

tunnels? wow!

I've gotten caught in the tunnels twice by maintenance guys. But that is because we were stupid and left the tunnels to go into buildings. Stay just in the tunnels and you'll be fine.

on page 2, were u guys talking about the anderson grad school? what do u mean by "anderson." and where's the back trail to get there? is it like a running/walking/biking trail? how long is the trail system at ucla. i've never seen one!

also can one ever go up to these places w/ their books and have a nice and quiet study time during finals wk when the library's packed? :)

where's this hot tub?

YRL is never packed for studying...

I do not go to YRL.
I do not go to YRL because it's haunted.
I do not go to YRL because it's haunted and scary.

I do not go to YRL because it's haunted and scary.

Really??

I like the YRL because there's no one ever there and because it is probably haunted. everything is like a library from the 60s.

YRL creeps me out. its just bookstacks for as far as you can see...and like what...9 stories of them? plus its eerily quiet all the time except the lobby area.

yeah, so does anyone know where the hot tub and trail are?

I'm 99% sure that there is no hot tub at SCRC. You can also verify this by using the satelite feature on Google maps ;)

And yes you can get arrested/cited for tresspassing in the tunnels, and UCPD officers occasionally do patrols in the tunnels, so don't think it can only happen if you leave the tunnels and go into a building.
... Besides, its ridiculously hot in most of the tunnels

YRL is creepy.

Do you ever go towards the corners of the floors? Sometimes, there are "study rooms" (torture chambers) reminiscent of those found in Powell. However, they're cold, gray, and harshly locked. That and there are series of old desks enclosed by cublicle-esque paneling. Dust from decades ago is smeared across the tables. Chairs that wobble and move from the loneliness of not having a firm college butt placed on its surface. It's absolutely terrible... terrible. :(

I ran from YRL close to 9pm to my De Neve dorm, safely, one night. It was the worst experience of my life. Never again!
