No, it isn't.

Many of us come here to help and to provide support and camraderie to those who share a common bond, be it an applicant or their families. We take or make the time to do so because we love USNA, the Navy, the military, and the nation, and want all four to get the very best.

As for the others....... well, you'll just have to ask them.

Forgive me if I don't lose any sleep over the fact that what I and the other Alums say doesn't make any sense to you.

I think its clear to most here that the Alums who have actually lived through our topics know precisely what they are talking about, contrary to the few persons with overinvolved, underinformed, and thoroughly arrogant perceptions of being absolutly correct in their dreamy notions of reality.

To the Alums who have been so helpfull to myself and others in our pursuit of our goals, I hope you can ignore the few parental figures who have taken it upon themselves to spread their own version of events. Regardless, I believe the caliber of academy mids and cadets is high enough to determine fact from fiction, and I hope I speak for many when I say we can tell who's knowledge is useful, knowledge that I hope you can continue to provide from on generation to the next.

My comment above was only announcing that I was responding to dadvet's description of the arena in which we were playing. I guess my subtlety escaped you.

A former Naval Academy doctor has been charged with conduct unbecoming an officer and violating state and federal laws related to wiretapping and destruction of evidence after Navy prosecutors said he secretly videotaped several midshipmen having sex at his house.

In tearful testimony, a former midshipman said today that because of the close relationship he had with a Navy doctor, it took him several days to go to the authorities after he discovered videos he alleges the doctor secretly shot of him and other midshipmen having sex with their girlfriends, masturbating and lying around naked in a guest room at his Annapolis home.

The accused officer, Cmdr. Kevin Ronan "had been pretty good to all of us," said the former midshipman, who was kicked out of the Naval Academy for bad grades before the alleged discovery of the videos....

A defense lawyer questioned the credibility of the central prosecution witness in a case against a Navy doctor accused of secretly videotaping midshipmen having sex at his house.

William Ferris, a civilian lawyer representing Cmdr. Kevin Ronan, said the former midshipman, who said he found secretly recorded surveillance sex tapes while looking for toothpaste in Ronan’s bedroom, made up the charges as part of an extortion attempt. The ex-midshipman, Addy Strasdas, wanted to force Ronan into paying his tuition at a civilian college after he was expelled from the Naval Academy, Ferris alleged....
