Is it just me, or are all the sections for Chemistry (particularly 14A, the one I wanted) all CLOSED?

It appears so. If i recall correctly, Lecture 1 and 2 were already filled up and there were 165/200 spots taken for lecure 3 two days ago. Since this orientation session just signed up for classes, then the chemistry sections must all be filled up by now.

=T

What lecture hall is it in? 200 seems low for CS 50

I went to session 104 and 14A was all full by the time I was able to sign up. So. Lame. Almost ruined my day.

But no worries. Since 104 is like half way there, that means theres gonna be a lot of people starting chem in winter.

I remember that the fall 08 chem 14A classes had three lectures with 350+ students each last year. CS50 has 352 seats, so it’s probably just closed right now to save spots for the later sessions. Just keep checking registrar and enroll using ursa if needed

yep, they incrementally increase the caps so that later orientations still have a chance. otherwise the first several orientations would fill up EVERYTHING and the later ones would be completely screwed over.

im pretty sure lavelle lets in everyone that wants to take his class (he did fall 2006)

would it be a dick move/is it even allowed to try and sign up for another class when you’ve already attended an orientation session?

It is allowed to add/drop courses even after you attended orientation. For example, I had my schedule set then I learned more about a course so I added it to my schedule. As long as the course is open, you are able to sign up for it.
