I am a current ILR student (freshman)
My friend from Binghamton actually wants to attend one ILR class just to see if he likes it or now... I am thinkin of bringing him to History of U.S. Labor, you think he can sneak in and check the class out?

anyone can sit in on lectures. unless it is a small section, you usually dont need permission to bring someone in.

It should not be a problem, but there’s no harm in checking with your prof first. Most of them will be happy to oblige.

I have brought friends interested in Cornell to lectures (and smaller classes) with me. never was an issue…certainly not a matter of “security.” hope your friend likes it!

before being accepted, i sat in on a bunch of classes. tons of HD ones and ILR ones cause my boyfriend’s in ILR. nothing ever happened, just make sure they behave and it’ll be fine :)

should add that for the small class I emailed the TA ahead of time and got my friend-smuggling scheme approved.

yea, even small lectures if you ask ur prof it should be fine.
